Mandatory gates

Every applicable gate must pass before a system can reach Verified or Gold status.

HOW THE STANDARD WORKS

High scores cannot substitute for missing controls.

Eight dimensions produce the weighted score. Evidence strength can cap unsupported ratings. Six hard gates then determine whether the system is eligible for Verified or Gold status.

  • Gold: 90 to 100 with all applicable gates passed
  • Verified: 80 to 89.99 with all applicable gates passed
  • Assessed: 65 to 79.99, or a higher score with a failed gate
  • Developing: 40 to 64.99, or three or more failed gates
  • Not Ready: below 40
